Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-07-19.

Use of the site

GrammarNook is provided as a free reference for word forms (past tense, plurals), confusable words, and grammar rules. You may browse, read, and reference the site for personal, academic, or professional writing purposes. You may not scrape, republish in bulk, or resell the site's content as your own reference product.

Informational content, not professional advice

Entries on GrammarNook reflect standard English usage as documented in dictionaries, style guides, and reference sources (see the methodology page for sourcing detail), but usage genuinely varies by region, register, and style guide. Content on this site is informational and should not be treated as a substitute for a professional editor, teacher, or the specific style guide your institution or publisher requires.

Intellectual property and attribution

GrammarNook's original writing, site design, and branding are the property of the site operator. Some word-form data is derived from Wiktionary, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA); where that's the case, the resulting GrammarNook content is itself made available under compatible CC-BY-SA terms, consistent with that license's share-alike requirement — see the methodology page for the full explanation of what's sourced from where.

Paid products

The grammar cheat-sheet bundle is a one-time $9.99 purchase delivering downloadable PDF files, processed through Stripe. A single purchase licenses you to print and use the bundle for personal, classroom, or office use; it may not be resold, redistributed, or repackaged as a standalone product. Because the bundle is a digital download delivered immediately after purchase, sales are generally final except where a file is genuinely corrupted or undeliverable — contact the address below if that happens.

Limitation of liability

GrammarNook is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While every entry is researched and cross-checked against real sources, the site does not guarantee that every fact, historical claim, or usage note is free of error, and is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on its content. If you spot an error, the fastest way to get it corrected is to report it directly.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site adds features or products; the "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
